Lost and Found
"Or suppose a woman has ten silver coins and loses one. Does she not light a lamp, sweep the house and search carefully until she finds it?" (Luke 15:8).
Our flight arrived SFO at 10:40 p.m. on Saturday night but our four bags did not. We waited and waited and finally reported to baggage lost. I was surprised so many people were waiting in that office from all over the world after getting off from different flights.
The airline promised that our bags would be found and delivered to us. Surely they called on Sunday that our bags, although not all of them, were found. I went from joy to disappointment when I heard that our carry-on suitcase was still missing. "Should we deliver the three bags now or wait a little bit longer?" "Please wait, that bag is most important to us."
On Monday morning, they called again and said they would deliver the three bags between 1-3 p.m. "Don't worry. We will still be searching for the last bag." "How long will the search go on?" "Until we find it." It sounded fishy, just like when engineers say, "I will be done when I am done."
Nevertheless, there is still hope as long as they have not given up.
