What Is the Happiest Day of a Mother?

I don't know about you but one of mine is the wedding day of our only son last Saturday. I felt completely satisfied as he reached a new milestone with a wonderful lady who shares his love for God, people and of course one another.

It is still hard to imagine that I am now a mother-in-law. On the days leading towards the wedding, I thought about our past a lot as I drove by places that had special meanings: his elementary school, his high school, the places we used to grab a bite to eat before sending him to Awana, etc. etc.

As a parent, it was inevitable that I was anxious, frustrated, and disappointed from time to time, especially when my husband and I had different expectations and different ideas of parenting. As we learned to listen, understand and accept each other, we were able to collaborate as a team and reach two important goals of parenting:1. Life-long loving connection with our child 2. Appropriate training and then letting go one step at a time with peace of mind.
