Germany and UK

Thank God we were able to leave SFO on Christmas Day! The discipleship training camps in Germany and UK for students and scholars from China really opened our eyes. We saw great needs everywhere. People are hungered for direction and guidance as of how to live! From morning until night, there were keynote sessions, small group discussions, and counseling. James and I served as group leaders and counselors.

After our organizers and main teachers mentioned I was licensed, my days and nights were packed. A workshop on dating was added; and students who could not get onto allocated counseling slots wanted to talk during every meal time and break. On New Year Day, I started before 8 a.m. and did not stopped until 3 a.m. the next morning. It was an humbling experience when "strangers" (although they are brothers and sisters) poured their hearts out. I would not know how people could truly heal without God.

All in all, the trip was edifying. We traveled with our mentor couple by public transportations and stayed at six different hostels/motels/hotels with them. Watching how they poured out their lives, James and I are forever grateful for the privilege of learning and serving!

"For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many" (Mark 10:45).
